#100: Three Indie Games Hitting PlayStation

Coming soon, according to Curve Digital, three new Indie Games are hitting PS4, PS3, and PSVita.

  • Titan Attacks: An arcade action title inspired by games like Space Invaders, and Galaga, but with many modern features including a full ship upgrade system, online leaderboards, and stylish visuals. This will be released in North America on May 6th, and Europe May 7th.

  • The Swapper: An atmospheric puzzle-platformer title that sees you master the ability to create clones of yourself, and swap your consciousness between them; while trying to figure out what happened to the abandoned space station you find yourself. This will be released in North America on June 24th, and Europe on June 25th.

  • MouseCraft: A fusion of Tetris and Lemmings, where you’re tasked with guiding three mice past obstacles to gather crystals and arrive at a block of cheese by placing bricks. This will be released in North America on July 8th, and in Europe on July 9th.

Do any of these games sound interesting to you? Do you plan on purchasing these games? Or are these a bust? It’s up to you.

#98: Blog Fail + Gaming Galore

Hello again!
What can I say? I just forget about this blog completely. It’s February already, and this is my first blog of the year. I’m not going to give any excuses, just the reason I forget, is because I’m so busy with school.

Gaming
As for gaming, I’ve been playing ACIV: Black Flag, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and Madden 25 on the Xbox One. What games are you gamers playing?

Now there are games/DLC i’m looking forward to for sure.
– Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea episode 2. I really can’t believe it’s coming up, what March 10 maybe. This is great!! I can’t wait to play as Elizabeth.
– TitanFall: also in March, the 11th, I believe, will come the game of the year, calling that right now.
– Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. This is coming a little sooner, this month, and even though this game looks childish, I believe it will be very entertaining.
Any games/DLC you’re looking forward to?

Going back in time:
– Halo Anniversary: i want to go back, and replay that in hopes that we will see a Halo 2: Anniversary this year.
– Bioshock 2: I’ve been just craving to go back, and play through this game now that I’m a little older, and see if I can catch more the 2nd time through.
– Gears of War 3: I never finished this game, and knowing there might be a 4th in the making soon, i need to finish it.
Any games you want to go replay anytime soon?

Lastly, big news comes from Activision. Call of Duty will now be on a 3-year Dev cycle. This means Sledgehammer Games are coming in for 2014, Treyarch in 2015, Infinity Ward in 2016, and so on. I’m excited for this; this will change up Call of Duty hopefully for good.
What do you gamers think about this news?

Until next time, FullMetalJacket signing off.

#97: Holiday’s and Video Games

WHOA!
Isn’t it crazy that it’s almost 2014? Wowzers! So, first of all, Happy Holiday’s to everyone. No matter what you celebrate, if anything at all, have a great one; breaks from school, breaks from work, that’s great.

With these times coming up, you’re probably receiving gifts, and let me guess gamers, you asked for video games? I defiantly did! So what games did you ask for? And for what system?

Here’s my list:
– Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
– Forza 5
– Madden 25
– Dead Rising 3

That’s a great looking list, and all those are for the Xbox One.

Lastly, make sure you watch my YouTube channel for a new video on Christmas Day; it will be up sometime in the morning.

Hope you all have a great holiday, and a new year. Look for a new blog before the end of 2013, and one in the first few days of 2014.

Bye.

#96: Burial at Sea Episode 1

HELLO!

Bioshock Infinite “Burial at Sea: Episode 1” DLC releases tomorrow, November 12 on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC for $15, or free for Season Pass holders. Are you buying it? Do you have the season pass? Are you excited?

My Opinion

I’m excited for this release since I finished the game along time AGO!! It’s not even out yet, and people are already complaining. How? I’ve heard complaints about how long it is, ~90 minutes, unless you actually play the game correctly, which then you can push out about 3 hours of gameplay (this actually came from the creators of the game). Obviously people aren’t playing the game right.

Anyway, I’m very excited to finally be back in Rapture. Defiantly watch for a review.

#95: Happy Halloween 2013

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Wow, so it’s already the end of October, and just two more months in 2013; crazy! But with the end of the year upon us, some awesome things are happening.
Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag – Just released worldwide! I will be purchasing it for the Xbox One later!
Battlefield 4: – Just released worldwide! Hope everyone has a great time with that!
Call of Duty: Ghosts – Coming soon, November 5th, worldwide for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and Xbox One/PS4 once they are released.
Xbox One – November 22nd couldn’t come soon enough, who’s getting it Day One?!? I am, and I’m excited.
PS4 – Hitting shelves on November 15th, it will be a big hit! Who’s getting it Day One?

What a line up there huh? And that’s not it, all the next gen- games being released when the consoles release, and Batman, and more.
Also can’t forget about the iPad Air being released at midnight or so tonight! That will be a mess for Apple, in stores, and online. Anyone buying that? Interested?

Videos from me are getting released once in awhile, so keep up on my YouTube channel.

Have a great day everyone! And look for more blogs coming your way!

#94: Apple Keynote Sept. 10 2013

Another Apple Keynote is here and gone.

Announcements were bigger than ever I would say.

-iOS 7

-iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S

-iTunes Radio

iOS 7

So we already know a lot about iOS 7 as the announcement of it was awhile ago, but we did get one nice detail that we were all waiting for, the release date, which is…… SEPTEMBER 18th, next Wednesday. Visit iOS for all about it.

iTunes Radio

iTunes Radio is free streaming radio with the best selection of music. It builds and brings stations you’ll love from day one. And the more you listen, the more personalized your stations become. It’s radio re-imagined. (Radio) We will see the release of iTunes Radio with iOS 7 on September 18th.

iPhone 5C

This is the iPhone 5 with color. The iPhone 5C is just like the iPhone 5, including the reinforced steel backing, except with a lot more color, including white, green, blue, yellow, and red. The catch, it’s cheaper, starting at $99 for 16GB. (Color)

iPhone 5S

This is an all new iPhone experience. New features such as Touch ID (fingerprint identity sensor), 2x faster than the iPhone 5/5C with the new A7 chip, new iSight camera (15% larger image sensor, 33% increase in light sensitivity, true tone flash, burst mode, and slow motion video), and it comes in three all new colors: Space Gray, Silver, and GOLD. The prices start at $199 for 16GB. (Gold)

My thoughts:

I can’t wait for iOS 7, it’s going to be a great change.

iTunes Radio will be something to try out, see if it can compete with Pandora.

iPhone 5C is a great addition for people who are looking to spend less money for such a great phone. The iPhone 5 has a lot of life left in it, so the iPhone 5C has even more. Adding color to the iPhone is cool, I would get the blue if I were to get one.

iPhone 5S is awesome. All new features are always great, and the colors… wow, GOLD is the biggest surprise, at first when I heard they were doing that, I was skeptical, but now that I seen it, it looks really good. If you’re a iPhone lover, you will want this.

Suggestions:

If you have a iPhone 4S or less, upgrade now, to either one, your preference.

If you have a iPhone 5, either upgrade to the 5C, or wait until the iPhone 6 (unless you have money to spare, then go ahead and get the iPhone 5S).

What do you guys think? Comment here, or on my Twitter.

#93: Xbox One Controllers and 2DS

Gamers,

Let’s first talk about the Xbox One controllers. The Xbox One will support up to 8 controllers to be connected at once, twice as much as the Xbox 360. Microsoft is also working on making Xbox 360 controllers compatible with the Xbox One; of course that will be a future feature probably months after release in November. (EIGHT!)

Moving on to the confirmed existence of the Nintendo made 2DS. The 2DS will be exactly like the 3DS, but with a different form factor, doesn’t support 3D, and will be cheaper. That means you can still play 3DS, DSi games on the handheld system, take pictures, have wi-fi, and everything else the 3DS can do, just for a cheaper price tag. (2DS)

My thoughts: Xbox One eight controllers doesn’t affect me, I never had 4 connected at once on my 360.

2DS is not a good idea! Nintendo has enough handheld systems, and consoles already; they NEED to concentrate on GAMES! More people will buy their consoles, if they had better games. All my thoughts here on Twitter.

Leave your thoughts in the comments, or tweet me.

#91: Why fight!?!?

Hey Gamers!

Let’s talk for a little while here. If you follow me on Twitter (HERE) then you have seen this rant already, but listen to me again now.

This is a great year for gamers, it really is! We have two great next-gen. consoles coming out; not only that, but so many fantastic games, like Call of Duty: Ghosts and Battlefield 4.

So why are gamers not grateful for that? I can’t answer that. I wish I could. I’m grateful, I’m happy for it all. But all I see and read anymore on anything related to the two consoles, and those two specific games (and many others) are people fighting.

“BF4 rulez, for pro’s”
“COD suckz, for noobz”
“Xbox One for Microsoft **** suckerz”
“PS4 for pro’s”

And so many more ignorant and stupid comments like those. Why can’t we all get along? We have a great thing going! And I finally realize why non-gamers say what they say about us. We could be the best “community” of people in the world if we could just all get along. It’s not that hard.

If you like something that someone else doesn’t, then that’s fine. Don’t fight about it, just play what you want. Play on the console you want, play the game you want, and let other’s do the same.

It’s simple!
